National Material L.P. is Hiring a Maintenance Planner Near Russellville, AR

Maintenance Planner Job Summary Drive improvements in equipment reliability through planned maintenance activities by optimizing labor resources, equipment availability and spare parts inventories. This position will work in the PLEX Maintenance Management Module and liaison with production, purchasing and reliability functions. Duties and Responsibilities • Develop work plans including scope of work, material estimates, and time estimates for newly submitted work requests • Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to help ensure Preventative and Predictive Maintenance schedules are met • Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities to optimize availability of equipment for maintenance related functions • Ensure all open work requests are planned and scheduled to optimize resource and equipment availability • Acquire and allocate necessary material and labor resources • Maintain adequate spares inventory • Liaison with purchasing to acquire needed parts and\or services • Review closed work requests for completeness of information, required follow-up actions, and accuracy of initial estimates • Kit parts and materials to reduce response and repair times • Maintain equipment records and files ensuring completeness and accuracy • Coordinate contract maintenance services for rolling stock, overhead lifting devices, life safety systems, plant utilities, etc. • Revise work request schedules at the direction of the Maintenance Manager • Serve as backup purchasing buyer • Serve as backup Maintenance Supervisor\Lead • Contact vendors to solicit bids for materials and services • Make occasional repairs to equipment and machinery • Assist in developing standard work practices for maintenance related activities Education and Experience High school education or equivalent and three to five years related experience or training. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Good communication and organizational skills • Thorough understanding of maintenance practices, procedures and policies • Knowledge of installed equipment and machinery including operation and maintenance procedures • Familiarity with Plex Maintenance Work Request System • Inventory and\or purchasing knowledge • Read and understand manuals, work instructions and work order system. • Utilize applicable measuring equipment, work instructions and control plans. • Demonstrate leadership skills based on the value of each individual employee as a team member. • Demonstrate organizational skills. • Demonstrate ability to analyze equipment issues in timely manner. • Demonstrate ability to repair equipment with minimal downtime to assure productivity based on historical run times. • Thorough knowledge of equipment and processes of entire plant. • Ability to make decisions concerning production and personnel. • Knowledge of personnel policy. • Demonstrate ability to complete all applicable paperwork associated with this job title using PLEX, e-mail and other Company software. • Individual is familiar with lockout/tag out and other safety related issues associated with this job title. • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors. • Demonstrate ability to apply maintenance schedules for all shifts to maximize efficiency and productivity. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
