Processes orders for material received by mail, telephone, or personally from customer by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Checks purchase orders against quotes for correct pricing. Effectively communicates by email or phone to the customer any pricing or production concerns, delays in shipments, or possible shortages of material. Writes or types order forms, or enters data into computer, to determine total cost of customer. Records or files copy of orders received according to expected delivery date. Sends credit applications to customers. Routes orders to departments for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates. Assists Sales Manager and Inside Sales Representatives with other various tasks as assigned. Answers the telephone and directs calls to the appropriate person Departmental filing and other clerical duties as assigned Must be willing to be a team leader and assist the Department Manager as needed.
