Business Intelligence Analyst

Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Location: NYC (Hybrid position, onsite 3-days/remote 2-days). Great location, on Lexington Ave. across from Grand Central.

Salary Range: $100,000-125,000 per year. Position eligible for additional incentives including bonus, 401(k) match, health and welfare benefits

National Funding (NF) is creating a new, state-of-the-art digital lending company, smallbusinessloans.com (SBL). SBL will launch fully digital lending offering targeted to SMBs seeking an automated loan experience. The company will differentiate itself from competitors via superior technology, risk management, data science, a fully digital UI, and a customer-first experience that emphasizes ease of use, fairness and transparency in pricing, and recognition of customer loyalty.

In order to maximize speed-to-market and efficiency, SBL intends to leverage the availability state-of-the art technology service providers and platforms. At the same time, SBL will build a robust set of modules around these platforms that will serve to differentiate SBL’s offerings in the marketplace and to its customers.

Position Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is data-driven individual with excellent analytical skills. This individual utilizes their analytics experience alongside technical tools to complete analytics projects providing stakeholders information necessary to make business decisions.

Major Responsibilities:

• Respond quickly to business inquiries from stakeholders; delivering conclusions with detailed assumptions that provide a clear understanding of the business question
• Develops and maintains advanced and dynamic dashboards in Tableau and Looker (Google Data Studio) for the business to self-serve ongoing business knowledge
• Accumulates a deep understanding of processes that create data as well as how that data is used by applications and users; works with product management, developers and end users to maintain the highest level of integrity and accuracy within the data
• Uses data and process knowledge to assist data warehouse development
• The ideal candidate will have the ability to tell stories with the data, communicate effectively and instill confidence in recommendations to motivate stakeholders to take action
• Ability to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources, developing assumptions where needed, to drive business insights and strategy development
• Develops new and better analytics approaches to solve questions in a creative way

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in business intelligence
• Experience with Tableau or Looker (Google Data Studio) or similar BI tools
• Expertise in SQL
• Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Demonstrates quick learning and growth potential
• BS in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or similar quantitative field

Preferred Requirements

• Significant expertise in Python
• Experience in Finance, Mortgage, Banking
• Experienced in data warehouse (DWH) development
