Senior Revenue Accountant

Nasuni is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant who will be responsible for assisting with our day-to-day accounting activities including contract and commissions review, documentation and research of technical revenue guidance, and monthly close procedures. This role requires someone who is willing to engage in a wide variety of accounting functions, process improvement initiatives, and systems design projects while being an integral part of a growing company. The right candidate must have an outstanding level of accuracy, attention to detail, self-motivation and analytical ability. This role will engage with numerous departments within the company and day-to-day activities will vary widely.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close reconciliations for revenue and receivable accounts
• Prepare and maintain quarterly revenue and bookings metrics for management
• Prepareand analyze deferred commissions;review and monitor average customer life
• Manage and review professional services project tracking and reporting based on percentage of completion
• Research and document technical accounting guidance related to revenue recognition
• Assist with development of internal control testing and documentation around order entry, revenue recognition, deferred revenue and accounts receivable
• Assist with processing of purchase orders via Intacct and other supporting systems and manage entry of new customer data or any order changes as required
• Build strong working relationships in supporting internal teams including sales, finance, channel, alliances, and legal
• Assist in annual audit including process walkthroughs and revenue selection support

Education and Experience:

• 2 years of accounting experience with ASC 606 background
• CPA with Big4 Public Accounting experience preferred
• Experience with SaaS industry and subscription-based revenue models
• Experience researching, documenting, and interpreting technical accounting guidance, specifically ASC606
• Strong proficiency working in Microsoft Excel and producing accurate deliverables for various internal and external parties
• Experience working in Intacct and Salesforce (or similar ERP/CRM system) is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• High degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

Works in an open-concept office environment up to 75% of the time with low but varying noise levels.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work seated at a desk 100% of the time with occasional standing and walking for recruiting and company events for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to interact with co-workers in office environment. Must be able to hear and communicate with clients and candidates through video-calling software and telephone frequently.Must be able to engage in constant repetitive finger and wrist motion for typing. Must be required to view a computer screen constantly.
