About Us: Nantucket Bike Shop is a busy seasonal rental bicycle and scooter shop located on the picturesque Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. We provide high-quality rental services for bicycles, scooters, and accompanying accessories to locals and tourists alike.
Job Description: We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at our two locations on Nantucket Island. Primarily responsible for engaging with customers and assisting them with their rental equipment requests/needs. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting customers with rental inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
- Retrieving the correct equipment from storage based on the customer’s request/needs.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the shop floor and rental equipment.
- Moving and organizing bicycles and scooters as needed.
- Promoting our rental services to passersby and potential customers.
- Performing basic tasks on rental equipment, such as cleaning, organizing, and relocating etc.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to engage with customers and provide assistance with a positive attitude.
- Physically able to lift and move bicycles, as well as push scooters as required.
- Availability to work weekends, especially holiday weekends is a huge plus.
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is a plus but not required.
