o Substitution(s): Possession of a master's degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
o Additional years of experience using GIS software packages such as Esri ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro) may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. (One (1) year of experience is equated to thirty (30) semester hours or forty-five (45) quarter hours.)
o Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification through the GIS Certification Institute may substitute for the education requirement.
