Position Overview:

• This position is partially remote: the selected contractor will be in office 2 days (Tues. is core day) & 3 days remote per week.
• Some travel to the job sites will be project specific (no regular cadence) to coordinate work, conduct site surveys, and clarify job scopes; PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, and vest) will be provided by the client, however contractor will need to make sure they have closed-toe sturdy shoes; mileage between site locations will be compensated within the client's guidelines

Some Duties Include:

• Manage distribution projects consisting of cross-functional teams involving multiple disciplines and multiple operating areas including contract resources. Responsible for managing the scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance of multiple projects and programs. Leads project teams through business case/capital approval process, development and execution of project plans and project closeout. These projects have budgets that will typically range from $250K to $15 million. Also, may manage business initiative projects with direct accountability for project execution while leading a team to accomplish objectives within a given time frame and with limited resources. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Responsible and accountable for overall project performance

• Track project costs and project timelines, develop recovery plans within approved budgets, understand project scope, interface with internal and external stakeholders to manage projects; 1 role will be for project innovation that helps improve project productivity and efficiencies & 1 role will be working electric distribution programs on corrective maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 ears of experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 
• Understanding of project scope and management from start to finish
• Intermediate level experience with MS Office Suite (Excel especially —being able to do Pivot Tables & analysis)
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting on project scopes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with using and interpreting Power BI dashboards
• Prior experience in utility industry (especially Electric Distribution and/or Telecommunications)
