Myers Industries Inc is Hiring a CNC Operator - 3rd Shift Near Bristol, IN

JOB SUMMARY Trims and assembles roto molded parts according to set up guide and fills out production cards at the end of the work day.JOB FUNCTIONSDuties may include but are not limited to the following.Checking the paperwork for the job to trim that day.Pull the set-up guide for the trim job; trim and assemble the part accordingly.Adjust CNC computer programming as needed.Place a reject sticker on any nonconforming parts.Complete production card at the end of the work dayComplete the safety check list at the end of the work day.Follow all safety procedure: Personal protective equipment, safety glasses, Kevlar glove.Meet the daily job/part quotaFollow quality procedures and good manufacturing practices. Amer-Kart is ISO certified; with this certification we hold quality very highly. If you are unsure of a parts quality, we encourage you to call QC or your supervisor. We will always strive for continuous improvements. Any suggestions you may have on improving please notify your supervisorSKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required.Experience: Minimum 3-5 years experience.Knowledge: Communicates effectively with co-workers and supervisors. Able to read and write basic English for daily paperwork as well as some basic math skills. Blueprint reading and computer skills are helpful but not required.Other Requirements: Interpret written and oral instructions. Work effectively with minimal supervision. Analyze situations and take appropriate action.Other Physical RequirementsVision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception)Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Welding Helmet, Welding Jacket, Leather Gloves, Safety Glasses, Steel toe shoes or boot, earplugs)WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
