Job Purpose We are looking for a talented Product Data Analyst who can help us maintain and continuously improve our industry leading transaction categorization engine. This person will also be a critical thought partner as they collaborate with the Data Analyst Lead on the Data Utilization team. What you’ll get to do… Monitor system performance and calculate success metrics Work with Product Management and Engineering to define, scope, and create new features to improve the classification & categorization engine. Manage quality improvement processes and ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. Research merchants and locations to augment system coverage Plan, design, develop and perform quality assessments in the areas of Top Offenders, System Transaction Rule Creation/Update, Confidence Test Creation/Update, Validation of Model Predictions to document and evaluate performance and data integrity. Configure, operate and develop manual and/or automated methods, processes and procedures to test output or input based on data compliance, quality and use requirements as established by product management, client specifications, and governance programs. Performs regular and ad hoc reviews, audits, and investigations of data activity and integrity; prepares reports and summaries of findings. Produces and updates guidelines and documentation of data quality development processes, procedures and standards. You’ll do it using your… Knowledge of or experience with SQL A serious passion for working with data & comfort with its inherent messiness Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of data analysis functions in Excel Knowledge of or experience in data analytics or related field Knowledge of or experience with probability theory & statistical analytics, Postgres, Ruby, BI and/or visualization tools Knowledge of or experience using Regular Expressions A lifelong love of learning BS (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar) or BA (Psychology, Philosophy, Linguistics, or similar) You’ll fit in by… Self-driven -- You have the ambition and intelligence to make great things even better.
