Position Description

Our manufacturing plant is looking for a qualified and results driven Supervisor to manage workflow at our facility. The nature of the work will require that the candidate demonstrate initiative and responsibility and be flexible/adaptive to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You must possess strong communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to resolve workplace issues effectively. You should also be a natural leader that’s focused on inspiring employees to own their work and deliver better results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee employee training, product quality, and day to day productivity.
  • Address problems with work quality, issues with employees and other concerns in an effective, timely manner.
  • Maintain open lines of communication between employees and management.
  • Understands and collaborates with management in supporting the plant goals to include: production efficiency, staffing safety, environmental compliance and facility maintenance.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and possess the following:

  • Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Experience in managing schedules, workflow, safety, personnel and equipment.
  • Organization skills and willingness to assume accountability for plant practices required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with all managers, employees, vendors and customers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Working computer skills.
  • Experience/knowledge in brick products is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • May be required to use protective gear and to take other precautions.
  • May be required to work long hours and/or different shifts to obtain production goals.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk and stand, sit, climb or crawl around and under machines or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and drive a vehicle.
  • Must possess alertness and stamina to work on feet for entire shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, equipment, tools or controls; perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists or feet; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
