Description

The Murdoch's Accounting Intern is responsible for providing support to the Finance Department. As an intern, you will gain experience in different aspects of the business related to Accounting. Training will include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, business management, and basic accounting procedures.

This internship is slated to run from September through December 2023

As a Murdoch's Team Member in this role, you will...

• Assist Accounts Payable with the preparation and processing of invoices and credits.
• Assist Accounts Receivable team with reconciling coupons and applying for payments.
• Record transactions to the proper accounts.
• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Reconcile daily cash-up transactions.
• Assist with the tracking and recording of insurance documents.
• Prepare accounting reports as needed.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
• Other Accounting Duties as assigned.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.

• Gain experience in all areas in Epicor related to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and appropriate functions in Point of Sale and Inventory.
• Strive to be customer service experts able to answer questions from internal (bookkeepers, managers, receivers, purchasing, advertising) and external (vendors, accounts receivable customers, bank, etc.) customers.
