Description

Ultrasound Technologist will perform general and vascular diagnostic ultrasound procedures, organize machine maintenance, and perform periodic calibrations. 

Requirements

 Professional Experience/Qualifications

• Associates from an approved diagnostic medical sonography program
• Knowledge of general human anatomy, pathology, and patho physiology of organs and systems
• Possess understanding of and have an excellent working knowledge of the physics of ultrasound
• Knowledge and skill in the following sub-specialties: abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology, small part, doppler, and vascular procedures is preferred

License Required

• Certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• BLS certification

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged walking/standing/sitting
• Ability to lift and position patients with assistance of other personnel
• Ability to push patients on gurneys/in wheelchairs
• Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 25 pounds
• Requires normal vision range
• Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Requires repetitive motion
