Commercial Property Manager

Join our growing team at the newly opened Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport ensure the successful management of the retail stores and restaurants and all supporting services. The program includes dozens of concessions spaces providing services to over 12million passengers per year. The program includes the largest Starbucks in any US Airport, dynamic and high volume national branded restaurants like Shake Shack, celebrity chef branded restaurants, exciting local concepts from around New Jersey and cutting-edge retail concepts. You will be part of a quickly growing team, operating the concessions program at the newest airport Terminal in the New York City area, and also part of a growing international company.

Your Future Responsibilities

• Main point of contact for concessionaires of Terminal A at EWR for all aspects of their operations
• Responsible for execution of the concession management and commercial operations to ensure best practices, the highest quality of operational standards and best passenger experience
• Food Health and safety and all regulatory compliance, including compliance with Port Authority of New York and New Jersey requirements
• Develops revenue enhancement measures for restaurants and retail stores in Terminal A, in order to optimize and increase sales performance. Provides merchandising support to tenants, driving results in product presentation and store appearance
• Supports and helps implement marketing, promotional, and seasonal activities
• Collaborates with procurement, e.g., for engagement of third-party service providers, vendors, and other contractors to provide services or perform work on airport assets used for concessions operations and manages such contractors and vendors such as Loading Dock Operator or other third-party providers
• Develops strong relations with all commercial stakeholders within the terminal and at EWR airport
• Set-up and leading of regular tenant meetings
• Ensures consistent and quality across the program through Mystery Shopping, Surveys, audits and other methodologies
• Monitors accounting and financial activities related to the Concession Program in close collaboration with the Finance Department
• Supports Commercial Accounting, Controlling, Budgeting and Reporting
• Sets, defines and monitors various KPIs of the commercial program and prepares detailed and relevant reports to leadership and stakeholders
• Work may require occasional weekend, early morning and / or evening attendance

Your Education & Training

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management, Hospitality, Property Management or a related field of study, alternatively professional experience within the required field of expertise
• Experience in a large, complex commercial property setting is highly preferred
• Commercial experience in airport environment is an asset

• Knowledge of Yardi Property Management or other Property Management systems is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint is a plus
• Serv Safe or other Food Safety certification is a plus
• Ability to work in the secure area of an airport
• Has a good sense of humor
