This position tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

Oversees internal Quality Control

Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards

Selects products for tests whenever necessary and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics

Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures

Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards; compiles data to create work manuals

Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability

Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics

Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis

Safely operates forklift and impact driver as needed

Performs other duties that may be assigned.

Regular and predictable attendace is required

Qualifications

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or suppliers.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory software; CMM programming software and Word Processing software.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay wage: $22 DOE
  • Shift: Days (5am-3:30pm)
