Join our team as a Inventory Control Associate!

The inventory control associate supports the day-to-day warehouse operations with regard to inventory control. Primary responsibilities include compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies by performing regular scheduled cycle counts throughout the warehouse facility; Maintains communication with various departments within the organization that require information concerning inventory in general; and conducts investigations as required on inventory discrepancies as they relate to customer service and/or warehouse error.

Responsibilities

• Counts material, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock via RF and posts totals to inventory records.• Compares inventories to SAP/WMS records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.• Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.• Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies, and computes inventory balance.• Prepares reports such as inventory balance and shortages with root cause analysis.• Updates material quantities and locations/ conducts daily replenishment for forward pick locations.• Conducts quarterly velocity reports and adjusts replenishment quantities accordingly.• Maintains and coordinates communication with various departments within the organization that require information concerning inventory in general.• Supports and fills in for warehouse associates as needed. • Performs various projects throughout the year as needed.• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work ExperienceHigh school or GED; At least one year of related experience.

Skills and Abilities • Familiar with WMS systems and Microsoft Excel; SAP experience highly desired, but not required. • Ability and prior experience in operating a sit-down forklift, order picker, & pallet jack.• Excellent organizational skills.• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.• Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Mathematical and analytical skills.
