Responsibilities:
The Accountant will:
- Assist in preparing internal financial reports with varying degrees of complexity
- Prepare journal entries and perform month-end and year-end close procedures
- Prepare bank reconciliations, review accounts payable & receivables, and verify cash transactions
- Document and prepare accounting transactions and records
- Maintain, update, and reconcile capital asset accounting records
- Prepare, analyze, and review purchasing documents for proper information and account classifications and perform buyer duties as needed
- Participate in the preparation and administration of the annual budget
- Review and monitor various revenue and expenditure accounts for accuracy and budget compliance
- Assist in administering agreements and contracts
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 2 years of Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
