Inventory control is a component of business operations that ensures an appropriate amount of supply without excess. Inventory control is often a component of logistics, supply chain, or production management. Under the general supervision of the accounting department this individual will performs a variety of duties in receiving, issuing, handling, and accounting for inventory stock.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee work center productions continuous flow of hardware and components in the assembly production lines.
  • Accurately post, issue, and receipt production orders/components (jobs).
  • Assist other assembly techs in production issues and troubleshooting of inventory needs.
  • Conduct cycle count inventory processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
  • Oversee and evaluate stock rotation procedures.
  • Communicate hardware and material needs to internal customers such as other inventory personnel and purchasing.
  • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to department leadership.
  • Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.
  • Safely move material using forklift and/or pallet jack.
  • Record and maintain inventory lists, review paperwork and reports, check product codes, process shipping orders, and provide customer service.
  • In charge of all aspect of counts to include tracking reporting, incoming and outgoing product shipments. Distribution of products during storage, and order filling that reduces stock.
  • Help define the method in which the monitoring of stock usage is completed, which will be done in cycles throughout the year.
  • Create reports that reflect the current status of inventory, the future status of inventory, and suggestive ways to manipulate those levels as needed.
  • Complete other special projects or duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Must be able to collect, calculate, and distribute materials electronically using computerized systems
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  • Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work with various types of inventory and material handling constraints with guidance.

Position Requirements

  • You may be required to lift and move 10-60 lbs.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
  • Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
  • Close mental and visual attention required
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Previous inventory experience required
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Understands multiple and changing deadlines
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred.

Work Site Environment

  • Ability to work in a 55 – 85 degree Fahrenheit work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.50 per hour
