MTH Pumps of Plano, IL is seeking to hire a full-time Application Engineer to oversee the accounting function of a state-of-the-art pump manufacturing company. The Application Engineer position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, $1 increase after 90 days, tuition reimbursement, and we offer medical and dental insurance and a 401K package. Our office hours are 8 am - 5 pm Monday – Friday.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN APPLICATION ENGINEER

The primary focus of the application engineer is to assist customers in selecting pump equipment based upon the specific application information. The AE provides outstanding customer service to customers, Field Sales Managers, representatives and distributors. The AE creates sales quotes and acknowledgements for customers. The AE provides front line field troubleshooting and customer service. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in Engineer) and/or pump sales experience with emphasis on applications engineering.
• Project management skills
• Ability to learn and apply pump application concepts, to recognize requirements and technical aspects of the application, to determine compatibility of MTH products with various fluids and applications, and to assist in field start-up and troubleshooting
• Highly organized
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Communicate effectively with customers inside and outside the company.
• Experience with various cost accounting software packages.
• Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for special projects.
