MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. We have an immediate opening for an Information Security Analyst

Job Purpose: This role serves as a Info Sec SME for the company and is responsible for the upkeep and monitoring of the IT security program, which includes network and operations security.

Responsibilities

Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• • Assist in the development of technical security standards to support policies including assisting in creating and coordinating security monitoring standards and incident investigation procedures.
  • Provides technical assistance in the configuration, and maintenance of security technologies including, but not limited to, Palo Alto firewalls, zScaler Proxy, F5 LTM platforms and Cloud Technologies.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for the Incident Response Team from preparation through resolution.
  • Develop metrics and scorecards in support of information security program for quarterly and annual reports to Executive Leadership and Board Members
  • Provide analysis and support for digital forensic investigations and e-discovery requests.
  • Responds to IT network security incidents of routine to moderate complexity, providing initial assessment of impact severity and types of incidences being addressed. Maintains incident tracking system up-to-date.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and implement resolutions quickly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Act as primary SME to Identity Management, Azure and DevOps support teams.
  • Create Azure automation through the use of runbooks and logic apps.
  • Leveraged Azure ARM templates and Terraform for IaaC.

Qualifications

Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field or 5 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP environment.
• Experience with some of the following: firewalls, IPS, IDS, EDR, SIEM, WAF, VPN platforms and Cloud Technologies, such as Rapid7 InsightVM
• A commitment to keep up to date with emerging security threats, technologies and trends
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach and confidence to make decisions
• Able to effectively communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff; across IT and business; senior management.
• Able to work effectively in an environment characterized by multi-tasking, juggling multiple projects and conflicting priorities
• Working knowledge of Unix, Windows Workstation/Server, Routing, Cloud Technologies.
• Security , CISSP, GIAC, Firewall or Cloud certifications are strongly preferred

• Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status;
• Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries;
• Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
