MRA Recruiting Services is Hiring a Mental Health Professional Near Milwaukee, WI

Position Summary: This position is responsible for day to day operations of a team of Care Coordinators or Ancillary Providers and clinical oversight of the program and staff.

Essential Functions:

  1. Screen new referrals and perform intakes as needed, including initial assessments, individual recovery plans, and PPS NOMS Bundle, provide supervision and oversight to intake coordinators.
  2. Assist staff in identifying services from the program service array appropriate to address barriers to recovery
  3. Act as a leader in the WCS Evidence Based Practices and Trauma Informed Care movement
  4. Provide clinical supervision and management to program staff. This includes team meetings, individual and side by side supervision
  5. Participate in recruiting, screening, interviewing, and training new program staff as needed
  6. Complete annual employee evaluations either independently or with program manager in a timely manner
  7. Maintain a quality assurance process to monitor staff documentation to ensure good clinical practice and maximize billing
  8. Ensure accountability for timely RPOC and SARJ completion by staff and report late RPOCs/SARJs to Program Manager.
  9. Participate with and report to the Program Manager on accountability measures, any misconduct of agency policies and corrective actions with direct service staff as needed
  10. Ensure adequate staffing of program and provide coverage as needed
  11. Assess staff training needs and coordinate training with management
  12. Assist and support staff during crisis situations/provides coverage during times of staff shortage
  13. Maintain records in Provider Connect/Avatar, prompt staff to complete PPS/NOMS and ensure that they are entered in a timely fashion.
  14. Oversee program discharges with Milwaukee County and ensure that discharges are completed according to DHS 36
  15. Attend program meetings at Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division
  16. Represent the Agency in the community and at County initiatives as needed.
  17. Advise management on all aspects of the Agency’s programs.
  18. Appropriately document all contact with clients and team members
  19. Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks
  20. Review mid cycle reviews, 6 month reviews and annual reviews and assist care coordination staff with making corrections prior to submitting to CARS
  21. Conduct Monthly Chart audits with the assistance of Program Manager and present results to care coordination team
  22. Provide backup coverage as needed

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Program Manager with ensuring staff timesheets are completed in a timely manner.
  2. Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position
  3. Attend MC3, all provider meetings or other presentations or meetings as needed.

Personal Attributes: Follow agency Code of Conduct and Leadership Code of Conduct; adhere to established policies and procedures of the agency and of all funding sources; conduct self in an ethical manner; maintain professional and respectful relationships with program staff, other WCS staff, people being served by the program and all external persons and agencies involved with service provision; sensitivity toward a population of vast and diverse backgrounds; demonstrate commitment to agency values and mission.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A very high degree of clinical knowledge and skills and the ability to clearly communicate these to others; ability to cope with emergency situations with a highly impaired population; good supervision skills and the ability to maintain and promote positive working relationships within WCS; excellent assessment and interviewing skills; good understanding of mental health, substance use, and co-occurring needs and the effects on the people being served by the program and their families; good understanding of the substance use population; ability to support staff in difficult situations; effective use of time and resources to help maintain quality program services. Experience working with Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services preferred.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in the office, the community and in people’s homes serving people with significant mental health, substance use and co-occurring needs; hours average at least 40 hours per week. No work on holidays or weekends, no crisis coverage.

Physical Demands: Position is located within the office and the community; requires travel throughout the community as needed. Driving throughout Milwaukee County; must be able to go up and down stairs.

Minimal Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Science or related field (psychology, educational psychology, social work, counseling, marriage, and family, etc.) and licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required. Supervisory experience preferred. No convictions or license revocations that would fail a caregiver background check. Valid driver’s license, automobile, and sufficient insurance to meet agency requirements.
