MRA Recruiting Services is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Sturtevant, WI

Job Overview:

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair machines, assembly lines, equipment and facilities in a hydraulic component manufacturing environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Screens and organizes all incoming MP2 work orders to identify the scope of work and the required level of planning.
  • Conducts “walk-through” reviews to identify and document the job requirements.
  • Identifies specific safety hazards associated with each work order, and attaches the proper safety procedures.
  • Ensures that all required spare parts and supplies are kitted for each planned job before scheduling the equipment to be down.
  • Measures and maintains the maintenance backlog; compiles reports associated with the backlog, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including CNC machines, heat treat furnaces and assembly line equipment.
  • Perform work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform work on buildings, grounds and facilities equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks; document findings and order necessary spare parts.
  • Complete project work such as relocating or installing machines; mechanical and electrical rebuilds and upgrades, etc.
  • Close work orders and document findings and lessons learned.
  • Communicate accurately and professionally with fellow team members.
  • Acquire new knowledge/training on all of the above.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical degree in mechanical or electrical maintenance and a minimum 3 years of experience in the following areas:
  • Repairing of CNC machines including horizontal and vertical lathes, grinders, machining centers, repairing of precision spindles and ball screws, repairing of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including PLC controls, performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) on precision machine-tools and other equipment, fabrication and welding experience, problem solving skills including finding the “root cause” of mechanical and electrical issues, closing out work orders and documenting the repairs made, parts used, parts needed, and best-practice techniques, and knowledge of CNC controls; starting the machine and running the axes; ability to troubleshoot basic electronics.
  • Experience on vacuum heat-treating equipment is preferred but not required, and the ability to work overtime including off-shift hours and weekends when needed
