The Maintenance Technician is responsible for mechanical and very basic electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment. This individual will also ensure safe work practices, quality and accuracy, and maintain service work records.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• The Maintenance Team operates 7 days per week with 12.50-hour shifts. Day and Night shifts are available.
  • Day Shift: 4:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Night Shift: 4:30 pm - 5:00 am

• Maintenance positions have rotating schedules of 38 to 50 hours per week.
  • 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule (time and a half for over 40 hours)
  • Commitment to overtime is required.

WAGES:

• The base pay range is $24.00 - $29.00 hourly, commensurate with experience.
• Bi-Weekly Productivity Bonus Incentive
  • $3/hr additional is guaranteed within the first 90-days 
  • After 90 days, up to $6/hr additional for reaching production/attendance goals.
• Opportunities for overtime

JOB DUTIES:

• Maintain the plant equipment, including motors, conveyor and leg systems, power transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems
• Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines
• Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools
• Fabrication of steel for repairs and machine upgrades
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks
• Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area
• Perform continuous rolling equipment repairs, greasing, and bearing changes
• Safely operate all equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maintenance Technician Degree or 1-2 years of equivalent work experience
• Ability to understand complex production systems
• Efficiently manage your time - excellent attendance is required
• Positive attitude and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work extended periods of time in heat and cold as dictated by outside temperatures
• Forklift and bucket loader experience preferred but not required
• Welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical experience are a plus
