MRA Recruiting Services is Hiring an IT Vendor Relationship Manager Near Chicago, IL

Company: Komatsu Mining & Construction

Location: Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL

Work Schedule: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote

We have a newly created opportunity for an IT Vendor Relationship Manager to join our IT team. This role can be based at our office in Milwaukee, WI, or Chicago, IL (Near O’Hare). In this role, you will manage and support the lifecycle of IT vendor relationships on behalf of global Komatsu IT. 

We offer a hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in the Milwaukee or Chicago office for collaboration, team meetings, working sessions, etc., and up to 3 days per work can be telecommuting from your home office). 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Komatsu teams worldwide to help ensure strategic alignment, cost optimization, and world-leading contracts. Also ensures that IT suppliers deliver service quality, performance and scalability through end-to-end oversight, serving as subject matter expert and escalation point for Vendor related issues, inquiries and remediation.
  • Collaborates with global Komatsu companies and Accounting to administrate the chargeback of over $40M annually
  • Strategically collaborates with technical and administrative Komatsu resources to ensure assets are planned, contracted, procured and managed by the team according to policy. Uses the asset data to properly manage global contracts for cost optimization and compliance. Participates in the monitoring, recording, and tracking of IT assets to ensure compliance, cost optimization and lifecycle planning. Helps rollout the asset management tool globally to ensure cost optimization and compliance.
  • Reviews all global contract license orders to ensure compliance, proper accounting, and cost optimization. In addition, works with the global companies to educate on license and contract issues to ensure compliance and maximum value is received from the contracted services.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field 
  • 5 years of global contract portfolio experience, including experience with Microsoft contracts 
  • 5 years of contractual review experience
  • Strong analytical, data processing, and problem-solving skills including MS Excel experience for reporting.
  • Ability to review and analyze complex contracts and licensing obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors/carriers to ensure positive outcome
  • Effective communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate successfully with technical staff, business stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office tools, Adobe, and other licensed Komatsu software.
  • Proven ability to develop/maintain operational relationships with multiple vendors and hold them accountable 
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse, international team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance.
  • Demonstrated abilities in the areas of planning, organizing, problem-solving, and execution of customer requests.
  • Strong attention and proven skills to handle a variety of requests in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Strong financial ability necessary to track chargebacks and cost obligations to many companies.
  • Experience working in asset management or purchasing and procurement capacity is preferred but not required 
  • Working knowledge of the accounts payable process and best practices. Ariba experience is a plus.
