Position Title: Industrial Electrician

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team in Rosemount, MN. Previous experience in a fast-paced industrial/production environment is highly preferred. Must be open to working nights and weekends. We offer a competitive hourly salary commensurate with experience, plus a biweekly productivity bonus incentive. 

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for preventative maintenance and electrical repairs on plant equipment. This individual will also ensure safe work practices, quality, and accuracy and maintain thorough service work records. Company-furnished hand and power tools are provided for day-to-day work. 

Job Duties:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on the mechanical and electrical systems of plant equipment
  • Inspect and assess the electrical components of rolling and portable equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveying systems, 3-Phase wiring, and various motor controls
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems and repair electrical issues with production machinery
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks to ensure the safe operation of plant equipment
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date documentation of service work records
  • Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean, safe work area

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of electrical maintenance and PLC troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment
  • MN electrical maintenance license or ability to obtain licensure by date of hire. (Monetary assistance is available for MN electrician licensure fees upon successful exam completion.)
  • Confined space and respirator certification is required (provided upon employment)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds (team lift)
  • Valid driver’s license

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • AS in Electronics or related technical fields is strongly preferred
  • Allen Bradley PLC, PLC 5, Slick 500, ControlLogix experience is a plus
  • Military electronics training is also desirable
  • HVAC, furnaces, and/or boiler electrical experience
  • Automation and Robotics background is a plus
