THE HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER WILL:

  • Proactively support managers to ensure smooth and efficient business operations and create an employee experience where team members want to work and stay. This role supports 2 facilities, both in Milwaukee.
  • Work closely with leaders on HR processes that impact the employee’s overall experience, including job profile development, goal setting and performance evaluation, staffing decisions, onboarding, offboarding and action plans for employee engagement and retention.
  • Demonstrate curiosity to learn about the business supported, including the role of our frontline employees and leaders.
  • Coach and proactively support leaders through employee relations and performance management actions, including coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions. Ensure development plans and outcomes are aligned with business needs and support the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Partner with critical functions such as Talent Acquisition, HR Service Center, Learning and Development, Total Rewards, Communication, and Community Relations.
  • Participate in community events and job fairs, and maintain relationships with local recruitment partners, including technical schools and high schools.
  • Participate in interviews, selection, and new hire onboarding in partnership with the hiring manager.
  • Ensure compensation and recognition programs achieve intended goals and objectives for the function, department, or business unit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related degree.
  • Three plus years’ experience in human resources.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, compensation practices, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills and resourceful thinking.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
