We have a great opportunity to join our team in Watertown, SD as a Counter Sales Representative. The Counter Salesperson will increase sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in and telephone customers in the selection and acquisition of needed products, by applying technical knowledge to satisfy customer needs.

• Provide customer service including order entry, expediting, follow-up, shipping, billing and other sales tasks required.
• Initiate customer contact and perform timely follow-up of inquiries.
• Provide feedback on pricing, service, new products, quality, customer needs and competition to the appropriate departments within JHL.
• Maintain counter area displays and merchandise product.
• Develop quotes and pricing for customers jobs.
• Follow safety rules when lifting, managing heavy material, and operating equipment.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide back up support to Warehouse.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some plumbing and/or electrical knowledge preferred.
• Some warehouse, shipping and delivery experience.
• Ability to perform basic math and read and understand English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communications abilities.
• Computer experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized, consistent and tenacious.
• A team player – work together with others to accomplish common goals of the company.

Physical Requirements:

This position will require frequent: Bending/Stooping, Squatting, Climbing, Crouching, Reach Above, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Talk and Hear. Lifting – Must be able to consistently lift 50 pounds throughout the working shift.
