Position: Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for performing business systems analysis and support of company-wide IT business applications. They work to improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. Recommends controls and changes by identifying problems; writing improved procedures. Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming a project team; establishing a project budget. This position will implement new business applications as well as identify opportunities and enhancements to improve current business applications by working with the Team. The Business Systems Analyst will work with business groups, functional areas, and users to maximize the benefits of the applications to their business needs.

• Responsible for working with stakeholders to define the organization’s business requirements to shape the output of projects and ensure they deliver the expected business benefits
• Implement new business applications including testing and integration
• Have a firm understanding of the businesses to focus on continuous improvement with the specific business, reviewing both process and system functionality. Propose modifications and enhancements to improve functionality or address any issues that arise.
• Will work closely with various user teams, investigating problems and data discrepancies, diagnosing root causes, identifying problematic trends, and working on resolving them.
• Provide application maintenance and support to proactively minimize service disruption and facilitate operational efficiency of the assigned applications including software, server environment, database(s), and integrations
• Document and analyze release levels and associated compatibility with currently deployed systems and standards including testing components and systems to see how they integrate with existing systems and applications and if they perform to standards

Qualifications / Skills

• Experience with ERP solutions; Sage 100 (MAS90) a plus
• Microsoft SQL experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI
• Experience with Point-of-Sale solutions; Toast is a plus
• Understanding of software development concepts 

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience position
• 2 years of experience providing IT Business application support
