Tax Manager General Information Hiring Department/Group: Finance - Tax Job Title: Tax Manager Office Location: New York, NY - 399 Park Avenue Principal Responsibilities Monitor and ownership of the tax landscape and assist in alerting Senior Management (Business and CORE) of new tax issues and plan/strategize accordingly Meet with Portfolio Managers to discuss tax implications of the PM’s strategy Analyze current and prospective trading products to identify areas of tax risks Assist in the review and analysis of corporate actions and SPACs as needed Identify areas for tax technology improvement and automation to help improve Tax Department efficiencies Assist in the monitoring of the Firm’s FIRPTA/ECI risk and work closely with other departments to resolve, as appropriate Assist with various aspects of Tax Compliance reviews if, and when, the need arises Flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the Tax Team and Finance Department Qualifications/Skills Required Approximately 10 years of a combination of hedge fund tax (domestic and international) experience in a Big 4 and/or Hedge Fund.
