MP RPO is Hiring a Warehouse Supervisor - Second Shift Near Conover, NC

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and leads an assigned team through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects. This position carries out team leader responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor all shipping procedures to ensure orders are being processed accurately and trucks are being loaded in a safe, timely manner.
  • Ensure that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
  • Lead team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks and specific portions of tractor-trailer and yard trucks.
  • Inspect quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team.
  • Verify that outgoing deliveries meet Company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.
  • Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate work records.
  • Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
  • Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in orders.
  • Ensure product is being stored in appropriate locations and all product is in good condition prior to shipment.
  • Communicate with management to support daily production needs.
  • Provide assistance to shipping coordinators and warehouse personnel as needed.
  • Maintain good housekeeping procedures and ensure warehouse is kept in good condition for a safe working environment.
  • Recommend personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implement viable ideas.
  • Resolve conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies through cycle counts and alert management of any issues
  • Perform monthly and semi-annual inventory counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of related work experience

  • Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Dropbox

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred
