MP RPO is Hiring a Third Shift Maintenance Technician Near Conover, NC

Position Summary

Responsible for installing, and repairing wiring for manufacturing equipment as well as providing preventative maintenance associated with electrical issues.

Schedule: 4 days a week 5:50 pm-6 am

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment in regard to manufacturing.
  • Schedule: 4 days a week 5:50 pm-6 am
  • Remain in compliance with the current National Electrical Code.
  • Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears.
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on the job.
  • Run conduit, pull wires/cables, and wire termination.
  • Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs, and test for adequate operation.
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
  • Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans.
  • Understand and troubleshoot PLC.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance as assigned.

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Mechanical mindset
  • 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise reports that are understandable by the target audience
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate them when appropriate
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to draft clear and detailed manufacturing procedures
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
  • Time management skills
  • Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Dropbox

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred

  • May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • The individual possesses fine hand manipulation (keyboarding) skills.

  • This position works in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must be able to adapt to the noise level of a manufacturing setting, which is usually moderate to heavy.

  • The temperature will vary from hot to cold, depending on the weather.
