What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Care Provider position at MP- Personal Care Assistants, LLC?
Care Provider/Personal Care Assistant needed for adults with intellectual disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome, ...). Ideal position for retired teachers, special education paraprofessionals, or other empathetic person looking for part-time and fulfilling work.
Clients live capably in their own apartments and are employed, but require basic assistance to allow them to live independently. Day time, afternoon, and early evening shifts available throughout week and weekends.
Duties include meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation according to the client's needs, general household shopping with client, basic tracking of medication adherence, basic safety drills, light household organizing, etc. Only prompting and cuing is required for the clients with laundry, household cleaning, calendar schedules, etc.
Assistant should be reliable, have own transportation, have some basic prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or willingness to learn, proactive in problem solving, and knowledge of Type-II diabetes (but not required). No cat allergies and Covid vaccination proof is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
