Mountainland Technical College is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Lehi, UT

MOUNTAINLAND TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Invites applications for the position of:

Human Resources Specialist

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Location: 2301 W. Ashton Blvd Lehi, Utah 84043

Reports to: Senior Director of Human Resources

Status: Non-Exempt/Full-Time

Salary: $40,000

This position includes a generous benefits package including 401 k, Medical, Dental, Life, AD&D, Paid Holiday, Personal, Sick & Vacation, Tuition discount after three months of employment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Onboarding of New hires:

  • Request and record appropriate documentation for new employees to perform background checks and verify employability.
  • Assemble new-hire information packets including: documents/forms for signing, benefits information for full-time employees, as well as position-specific information for each individual.
  • Meet with potential candidates (pending background check):
  • Explain the employee information packet and collect documentation.
  • Fingerprint potential employees and explain the background check procedure
  • Introduce candidates to iSolved and Timeforce, (or iSolved Time)
  • Explain iSolved onboarding process and verify email address.
  • Take photograph.

Establishing New-Hires:

  • Follow up with BCI website to verify employee passes background check, adding information if necessary.
  • Create iSolved, Time Force, and URS accounts for each employee and attach documents to keep on records.
  • Complete employer I9 Form, and E-verify employment.
  • Communicate to new employee iSolved login information so they can set up their benefits.
  • Notify new employee's direct supervisor of their availability to start work.
  • Notify technology the new employee needs email and Prox card.
  • Enter new employee on master phone list, and mass HR email list.
  • Create a permanent file for employee's human resource record.
  • Resolve any issues new employees have setting up their email, or employee accounts.
  • Set up in North Star for employee badge

Recruiting

  • Aid the Director of Human Resources with varying jobs and tasks.
  • Copying, filing and scanning documents
  • Creating and managing job postings and candidates (using iSolved Hire system)
  • Tracking job requisition forms and ensuring timely completion of the approvals process (iSolved Hire)
  • Creation of fillable documents
  • Scheduling interviews with job candidates
  • Interviewing part-time positions
  • Completion of paperwork required by State and Federal Agencies
  • Maintaining employee information in the HRIS system
  • Note taking during meetings
  • Work closely with the Office for Teaching and Learning in ensuring orientation and training assignments are completed.
  • Ability to travel and reliable transportation

Other Duties

  • Monthly, create a report for administrative assistant of all new hires. (To be added to employee review list).
  • Prepare a termination report monthly in house and for URS.
  • Verifying Employment
  • AvidXchange for BCI and Express Employment - includes following up on, and contacting employees with issues.
  • Assisting employees having issues with iSolved, time cards, Prox cards, or benefits.
  • Scanning and uploading employee documents into iSolved.
  • Termination in iSolved for employees leaving MTech, including finalizing benefits and payroll.
  • Follow up with supervisors regarding completion of orientation in Bridge.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school, plus, two (2) years of specialized training, or an associate degree; AND, two years of experience performing related duties; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

MTECH maintains the right to conduct a criminal history background check; employment is contingent upon background check results.
