mtvSolar (Mountain View Solar) is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to facilitate our online and offline communication with clients and increase brand awareness, implement our company’s strategic marketing communications strategy through online (social media and web content) outlets, graphic design, and event planning.

Marketing Communications Specialist responsibilities include developing promotional materials, responding to customers’ queries and comments on social media and networking during marketing events. If you have experience in identifying and building long-term relationships with target audiences,

we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will act as our brand’s voice to impress our customers and attract new clients.

Qualifications:

• An outgoing personality with the ability to speak to anyone!

• Previous Marketing experience

• Weekend availability

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Reliable access to transportation to/from multiple locations – (Valid Driver’s License)

• Availability to attend events outside regular business hours

• Highly organized and detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns

• Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)

• Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns

• Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts

• Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience

• Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned

• Conduct competitor research and analyses

• Compile and provide material for posting on social media by Technology lead

• GetTheReferral program tracking and assistance

• Scheduling – photographers/ homeowners/ salesperson

• Content delivery – Happy Homeowners, testimonials, Employee Spotlight, blogs

• Maintain website content (WordPress)

• Attend Community events

• Run mtvSolar’s trade-show booth

• Coordinate planning and delivery for Community Giveback events and similar with Marketing Manager

• Assist with print materials identified as needed

• Assist with calendar overview of marketing strategy for the year

Skills

• Experience / background in Marketing. Interns welcome!

• Graphics Design (Adobe InDesign, etc)

• Targeted email campaign – experience with Constant Contact, Mail Chimp or similar

• CRM – SalesForce – data entry

• Google Workspace including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and

presentations

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience

Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
