Mountain View Dental is Hiring a Dental Front Office Receptionist Near Ogden, UT

Mountain View Dental is looking for a front desk receptionist. This role plays a critical part in the dental office because they are the first person to greet the patient. If you are a people-person who is energetic and enjoys interacting with others, Mountain View Dental would be a great opportunity for you. The purpose and functions are defined below:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Provides clerical support for dental practice by answering the telephone, greeting and scheduling patients, making financial arrangements with patients, preparing general correspondence, receiving payments and maintaining records and files, and opens and closes the office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answer, screen and route all incoming calls.
  • Prepare call slips for messages and distribute to appropriate person.
  • Greet all patients and visitors.
  • Announce patients’ arrival to appropriate dentist, assistant, or hygienist.
  • Schedule patients’ appointments including arrangements when a patient needs to see specialists.
  • Set financial arrangements with patients at the time appointment is scheduled.
  • Take payments received from patients and insurance companies. Issue receipt to patients for payments.
  • Draw-up and distribute daily schedules. Keep dental staff informed of any changes in the daily schedule.
  • Call patients to confirm future appointments.
  • Call patients when insurance company pre-treatment estimate is received to discuss and when appropriate, schedule appointments and discuss financial arrangements.
  • Follow-up on broken appointments and fill cancelled appointments..
  • Remove old appointments and route slips and run audit reports.
  • Copy and mail X-rays as appropriate.
  • Check answering machine first thing in the morning and at other times as appropriate.
  • Open and close office in accordance with established Task Lists
  • Utilize Dentrix Dental Software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
