Concessions Manager

WHO IS DIAMOND CONCESSIONS?

Diamond Concessions is a food service company that specializes in concessions and catering for minor league sports and outdoor amphitheaters across the United States. Diamond Concessions currently services 9 minor league teams who have a shared focus in providing great customer service and the highest quality product for our partners and patrons.

We are currently seeking an experienced Concessions Director to assist in concession management of the food and beverage operation in Idaho Falls, Idaho at Mountain America Center. The Spud Kings junior league hockey team will play in a new state of the art hockey arena that seats over 5000 guests including 12 private suites, 16 loge suites, and 5 concession stands and the Blue Cross Convention Center.

Job Description

The Concessions Manager is responsible for running the operation of the concession stands including the cashiers, cooking and prep areas. The Concession Manager will oversee stands cleanliness/neatness, product quality, customer service, stand safety, food safety, and alcohol service. Employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event-based schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in management level position in Food & Beverage or training with at least 2 years of management experience in a concessions facility servicing concessions and catering for large events.
  • Prior bar management preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
  • ServSafe Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to accommodate business levels
  • Strong financial and computer skills; has experience working with and an understanding of P&Ls and budgeting
  • supervising service team members required.
  • Ability to communicate through oral and written skills with staff, creating a positive work environment.
  • Ability to manage frequent change.
  • Ability to manage their own time as well as the time of others.

Job Responsibilities

  • This position reports to the Director of Concessions with responsibilities to include purchasing, inventory control, scheduling and managing culinary staff, food safety program, cost of goods accountability, labor management, food production and quality control
  • Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Attends internal event-related meetings and relay immediate changes to other internal departments
  • Coordinate with Cash Room staff in completing financials according to Diamond Concessions protocols.
  • Coordinates with Director of Concessions to verify and reconcile production and sellable items
  • Ability to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), appropriate point-of-sale (POS) systems and any other required operating machines (i.e. cooking machinery).
  • Overseeing all aspects of concessions operations
  • Working with the location leadership team to continually drive improvements in guest satisfaction and financial results.
  • Driving engagement within the concessions department
  • Overseeing all aspects of season planning and event preparation in the concessions department to ensure maximum event readiness.
  • Ensuring point of sale updates and regular maintenance checks are completed.
  • Implementing concessions production sheet to ensure accurate production and minimal wastage.
  • Ensuring responsible service of alcohol protocols are followed
  • Completing and processing of alcohol incident logs to identify recurring issues or trends.
  • Lead NPO Group management and communication.
  • Working with purchasing team to manage product transfers and requisition sheets to accurately track products during events.
  • Manage team member scheduling in line with demand forecasts, verify payroll, and enter gratuities.
  • Completion of monthly financial reporting and action planning.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of month-end inventory for concessions department.
  • Completing building walkthroughs during events.
  • Supporting other locations/properties as needed
