Mount Carmel Animal Hospital is looking for ENTHUSIASTIC and EXCEPTIONAL individuals to join our team. We are hiring a Part-Time or Full-Time Receptionist to assist clients with their pet care needs.
Must be enthusiastic, hard-working, detail-oriented, and passionate about pets! Everyone says they love animals and are hardworking. We are looking for team members who TRULY ARE! We have a terrific team of people who are passionate about pets, are committed to providing quality care, and believe in working hard and working together.
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work any shift depending on staffing needs. Must be able to work 3 days per week, and 2 Saturdays per month.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of reception or customer service experience. Experience in a veterinary office is a plus. Essential characteristics are friendliness and enthusiasm, attention to detail and follow-through, and dependability. You will be in constant contact with clients and other team members. Must be eager to learn, quick to pick up new knowledge and skills, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. The ability to work as part of a team is essential: strong communication skills, a positive outlook, and reliability are a must. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Primary job functions are to provide exceptional customer service in person and over the telephone, perform clerical and record-keeping duties accurately and efficiently, and provide administrative support to clinical staff.
Essential duties include
· answering/responding to client phone calls
· welcoming clients and patients and checking them in for appointments
· making appointments for patients according to established protocols
· maintaining accurate or organized medical records
· educating clients on products and services offered
· preparing invoices and collecting payments
Required experience: 2 years of Reception/Customer Service
Salary commensurate with experience, starting at $18 per hour.

Our staff includes five Full-Time Veterinarians who work together as a team to build a practice focused on being a true partner in care for our clients and patients. Our support staff is dedicated and knowledgeable, committed to teamwork, and focused on providing superior care and service to each and every patient.
