POSITION SUMMARY:  The Piezo Product Development specialist has strong interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on organization, and enhanced multitasking abilities.  B2B sales, marketing, and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals.  The ideal candidate has experience researching market trends, targeting relationships, and using proven methods to develop precision positioning solutions.  They are responsible for outbound prospecting, proposing solutions, and closing sales in our targeted markets.

  • A high degree of comfort with active outreach (cold/warm calls and emails)
  • Passion for helping select or develop the most appropriate product for the customer’s applications
  • Willingness to travel as required to manage and grow customers effectively

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


  • Develop a strong understanding of our products and our competition in the industry.
  • Maintain relationships with current customers and provide technical and sales support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Sales Teams to develop proposals that address the customer's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Prospect potential accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads, and convert them to opportunities.
  • Call on development engineering departments to identify and develop solutions to customers' motion control needs.  
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts.
  • Support marketing efforts as needed: attend trade shows, assist in website maintenance (new product announcements, blogposts).
  • Document activities and results in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.




  • BA, BS in Science or Engineering disciplines
  • Five to Ten years proven track record in sales or customer support in related markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Healthy initiative and sense of urgency
  • Results-driven
  • Strong organization skills
  • Comfortable discussing finances
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team and take on new tasks with varying levels of difficulty.


Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred along with 5 years' experience in a sales or equivalent role.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project specifications, drawings, graphs, technical procedures and catalog data.  Ability to write technical reports.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, engineers, customers, and our principals. Accomplished English speaking and writing.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to assess a competitive situation and determine the best course of action to allow us to compete at that particular account.
