MorseLife is looking for an Activities assistant to join our team in our West Palm Beach location. This person will oversee the daily operations of activities and programming.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors and evaluates programs and activities within department to ensure volunteers are following processes and meet expectations for activities.
• Coordinate scheduling - Between activities and staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Organize internal resources - Build out and maintain processes to keepfiles and office supplies organized and easily accessible.
• Attends meetings as needed.
• Flexible work schedule
• Defuse crisis or other situations when they arise.

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• 1-2 years experience as an activities assistant
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Positive, high-energy attitude
• Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skill set
• Familiarity with office equipment (i.e. printers, fax machines, projectors)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and PowerPoint)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid non-weather conditions, working near mechanical parts, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
