The position of Account Receivable is responsible for invoicing sales orders and managing all related customer accounts

Responsibilities

• Invoicing Sales Orders
• Ensure proper documentation for applying payments (Wire, ACH, Checks, & Credit Cards) received from customers
• Communicate with customers to ensure correct/complete remittance advices received.
• Coordindate with customer and customer service regarding issuance of credits to customer accounts.
• Develop improvements in internal process, procedures and tools surrounding the cash application process
• Filing

Manage customer accounts

• Generate weekly analysis of top past due balances for distribution to Sales, Customer Service and management teams to ensure account status is properly understood and actions are clarified
• Responsible for month end closing
• Communicate with customers to inform, understand, and request past due balances and develop actions to ensure timely collections. Work with internal collections person
• Ensure payment discrepancies and differences are quickly resolved through close contact with Customer and internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Management)
• Train as back up to Credit function
• Monitor credit hold reports. Work with internal collection person to determine actions needed from customer to release credit holds

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in an Accounts receivable environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient in related software applications
• Strong attention to detail
