Role Description

The operator is expected to interpret and implement processing orders specifically related to the printing machine department, including selecting, mounting, and setting up copper rolls, as well as selecting press rolls and ensuring the correct substrate material is used. The operator is also responsible for formulating inks based on provided formula cards, ensuring color consistency, inspecting the processed material, preparing it for shipment, and maintaining the machinery in working order. This includes daily lubrication of the machine, keeping the area clean, and ensuring the equipment is safely operated. The role demands a working knowledge of the machinery and tools, physical fitness to handle tasks like lifting up to 75 lbs, and standing for long periods. Additionally, the operator must manage leftover inks according to company policies, aiming to minimize waste and adhere to recycling programs. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical proficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine operation and familiarity with machinery is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
• Effective communication skills
• Proficiency in using hand tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Prior experience in the printing industry is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
