Character of Position

As a Corporate Buyer, you will Conduct purchase operations to meet goals related to material on time delivery while optimize costing for cost of goods and logistics. Maintain relations with supplier base. Manage internal systems and policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct purchasing function related to the sourcing and procurement of materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand and supply.
• Create stocking plans to meet goals for inventory levels, on time delivery, and GMROI according to corporate goals.
• Work in partnership with expeditors to ensure accuracy, delivery and communication related to procurement of materials.
• Monitor and adjust logistic plans to ensure cost saving transportation and stocking of materials.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop customer-stocking plans, track results, and communicate adjustments to plans.
• Negotiation of procurement from non-contract suppliers.
• Disposition Non-Conforming product that does not meet specifications
• Maintain and coordinate corporate communications from Suppliers regarding pricing, discounts, policy updates
• Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers
• Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities

• Experience using “TrulinX”, “Job Boss” or “E2” ERP Software
• Develop and maintain product knowledge
• Negotiation skills
• Communication skills
• Supply Chain Management

Problem Solving:

• Ability to learn and work within new ERP Software Solutions
• Manage multiple supply chains
• Maximize inventory utilization
• Strong sense of organization and urgency
• Ability to apply ERP system inventory controls and support with excel planning documents

Education

• • High School Diploma; College; Relevant Work Related Experience; Product Knowledge; Advanced Inventory Control and Excel Training a plus
  • Development thru job performance; product training; inventory control; purchasing/planning; contract negotiating; advanced inventory control and excel training

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in related field (Industry experience is a plus)
