Salary for Associate Therapist: $50,000 - $58,000 DOE with a $1000 hiring bonus

Salary for Fully Licensed Therapist: $60,000 - $65,000 DOE with a $5000 hiring bonus

We are looking for a licensed or associate licensed therapist to join a small, highly collaborative, and creative team working with individuals and families who have experienced trauma and/or mental health conditions. Morning Star Community Services is an organization that provides therapy services to a variety of client types and presenting issues. A successful candidate will have experience with child and family therapy and will work primarily in a residential setting serving boys ages 6-12. Typical working hours are M-F 8 am to 5 pm however some flexibility to meet client needs and availability may be needed

Position Overview:

Provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in the Spokane and surrounding areas. Primary responsibility is providing therapy for BRS adolescents in a residential care facility environment.

Essential Functions: include but are not limited to:

• Meets regularly with BRS clients to provide therapeutic support
• Is available for crisis intervention and problem resolution with in-home foster staff
• Provides individual, family, group counseling to children and adults
• Identifies problematic behavioral, communication, and relationship patterns
• Guides clients to develop plans to positively manage and respond to issues; assists clients with replacing unhealthy or dysfunctional behaviors with healthy choices
• Assists clients in developing new or strengthened communication skills and methods
• Diagnoses and applies appropriate treatments for psychological disorders
• Completes clinical documentation in a timely manner, as trained, per license and insurance standards
• Maintains general knowledge of community resources to assist clients as appropriate
• Participates in case consultations and collaborative meetings with clinical colleagues

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• Master of Social Work or closely related field
• Knowledge and experience working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
• Current Washington State licensure or associate licensure (LICSW/LICSWA, LMHC/LMHCA, LMFT/LMFTA)
• One year clinical experience in the mental health field (internship may be counted)
