Summary
Morgan & Morgan is looking for an experienced Premises Liability Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing practice of plaintiff's lawyers and supporting case staff in our office in Washington, D.C. The Premises Liability Personal Injury Attorney will handle a heavy and complex case load from pre-litigation (pre-suit), litigation, trial prep and trial. Cases may include representing plaintiffs in slip and fall; security negligence; wrongful death; dog bite; and other cases in DC and surrounding areas in Maryland, and/or Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation cases
- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
- Guide plaintiff clients through the case process
- Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits in and around the District of Columbia and adjacent parts of Maryland
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
Qualifications
- Law degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully accredited law school
- An active member in good standing with the bar (DC and MD or VA)
- Minimum 3 years of personal injury / premises liability experience
- Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
