Outstanding Biotechnology company seeks Facilities Maintenance Technician with expertise in the areas of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanics, and Carpentry. The company has a worldwide presence, with subsidiaries in Europe and North America and a state-of-the-art research and development center in San Diego.
The requirements of this position are as follows:
Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance of Facilities Equipment, minor repairs of facility equipment, customer requested facility related work, safety inspections, vendor escort and oversight, parts and materials sourcing, emergency response, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Experienced using hand and power tools to perform a variety of trades work, such as plumbing, mechanical repairs, minor electrical work, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, doors and locks, etc. Experience in a facilities department desirable.
Skills and Abilities: Good craftsmanship, safety conscious, customer oriented, effective verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills with email, word processors, spreadsheets. Must show aptitude for solving problems and setting personal goals for continuous improvement. Must display quality work, personal integrity, reliability and teamwork.
