POSITION: Technology Technician I

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum High School diploma, preferred Associate degree in Computer Science or related field and one year of experience repairing and maintaining technology related equipment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all users while maintaining a positive and professional
• Ability to systematically troubleshoot technology devices.
• Strong knowledge of computers and related technologies.
• General knowledge of components of local area networks.

DUTIES:

• Provide technical support to students and staff.
• Provide timely and effective support for Technology devices including but not limited to desktops, laptops, and printers.
• Repairs, maintains, and upgrades technology-related equipment. Reads and interprets schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Operates standard and specialized electronics devices in testing and troubleshooting computers and other technology-related equipment.
• Maintains an inventory of electronics components needed to make timely repairs.
• Uses a work-order tracking system for routine repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Escalates complex problems to higher-level technical support accordingly.
• Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization.
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing diversity.
• Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
