Monfort Companies is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Denver, CO

General Description:

Monfort is seeking a Financial Analyst to analyze the past and present financial data of the organization and estimate future revenues and expenditures. Duties include predicting ROI for business ventures, writing financial reports, collecting industry research to inform decision making, and gather data to understand trends affecting a product, region, or industry to help make decisions. This role will work intimately to drive wise investment strategies and support overall financial growth and stability and will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Travel required, overnight may be required.

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.

• Analyze business and financial data to create financial models for decision support.

• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.

• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.

• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts; acquisition after-action reviews.

• Manage the 13-week forecast, integrating re-forecast estimates and project cash trends.

• Work with CFO to establish and enforce policies and procedures.

• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.

• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.

• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.

• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.

• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.

• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

• Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends.

• Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives.

• Develop financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting.

• Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes. • Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data.

• Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis.

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends.

Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience in accounting, business finance or other relevant experience; bachelor’s degree required, CPA preferred. • High- level experience with Microsoft Excel is a must; familiarity with data query/data management tools.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Highly developed consultative, facilitation, project management, and presentation skills.

• High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.

• Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

• Expert level written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with executive-level decision-making capability.

• Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various.

• Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
