Job Duties:

• Rebill, follow-up, and collection activity for assigned payers
• Research, appeal, and address patient account balances
• Accurately and thoroughly document pertinent collection activity performed
• Verify claims adjudication utilizing appropriate resources and applications
• Initiate telephone and letter contact with parties responsible for reimbursement for services provided
• Edit and update claim information to meet and satisfy billing compliance guidelines for electronic and paper claim submission
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations by appropriately handling patient information
• Participate in monthly meetings, seminars, and hands-on training and identify trends and claim-related issues

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One year of previous medical front office experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to multitask with great attention to detail
• Outstanding customer service when communicating with patients and insurance carriers
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
• Work well in a team environment toward monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
• Knowledge of billing/EMR software a plus
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Outgoing and energetic personality. Most importantly – you need to have FUN while you work!
