Modern Spare is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Coordinator

Job Overview:

Modern Spare is a growing business looking to hire a full time team member to actively help better our organization and become directly involved in the company’s success. We value ambition but also enjoy a fun and relaxed work environment. We are an ecommerce company that specializes in producing and selling specialized high end auto parts worldwide. The ideal candidate will be self disciplined, a problem solver, and highly motivated. Essentially, we are looking for an ambitious and skilled individual who will directly influence our growth.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable sales and customer service skills
  • Must be computer savvy
  • An understanding of basic automotive components. In order for an applicant to confidently communicate with customers, one must be familiar with basic automotive parts such as brake rotors, brake calipers, lug nuts, etc. This is something that can be learned, but must be quickly picked up.
  • Willingness to learn and to continue learning throughout employment. This position will encourage and reward progression.
  • Capability of maintaining a positive attitude to convey constructive enthusiasm to customers and team members alike.
  • The ability to efficiently multitask
  • Ability to handle and overcome unforeseen problems and quickly implement solutions.
  • High school diploma or GED

Bonus qualifications:

  • Sales and/or marketing technical certifications or education
  • E-commerce experience
  • Social media marketing experience
  • A passion for cars

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibility:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide positive and helpful interactions with our customers. Although this is a sales position, we do not believe in or use high pressure sales tactics. We have a strong emphasis on doing right by direct and wholesale customers. We do not focus on simply creating as much revenue as possible. As such, the ideal candidate will provide customers with valuable information and accurate recommendations for the product that best fits their needs. In short, this is not a position that uses high pressure or scripted business interactions. If you are a friendly individual who enjoys connecting with people on a personal basis, you will do well in this job.

This position is for you If you are the type of person who has great sales and people skills, but does not enjoy using them to push people towards products they don’t need. In this role, people come to us with a problem and we provide a solution that provides peace of mind. Customer interactions are consistently positive.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Assist and facilitate B2B sales with vendors
  • Assist in product development
  • Assist in Marketing Programs
  • Develop a working knowledge of product base
  • Monitor Customer Feedback
  • Assist in Managing Promotions

Being a smaller company a team member will often wear “multiple hats” and must have the ability to “think outside of the box.” This being said, we are a growing company with significant opportunities for employee advancement. This position offers the ability to transition into a position with higher level responsibilities if desired. That being said, if you need a position that requires heavy supervision this may not be a good fit for you.

What to Expect From Us:

  • Competitive pay with profit sharing. The starting salary range for this position is $36,000-$60,000 per year. This is mainly based on experience and demonstrable skills. Although, if you lack experience but are full of ambition we quickly reward progression.
  • Flexible schedule. While this position does follow a normal schedule of 8 AM - 5 PM Mon-Fri, we have a culture of putting an emphasis on work life balance. It is not difficult to get time off if needed.

  • The ability to work extra hours when desired
