MNGI Digestive Health is Hiring an Electronic Medical Records Technician (Full-time) Near Minneapolis, MN

Job Purpose: Compile, process, and maintain patient’s health information in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the practice in a timely manner.
Essential Functions: In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and regular attendance is required. The responsibilities listed below are representative of the primary essential functions required; additional duties may be assigned.   • Prepare electronic charts for appointments.
  • Obtain necessary documents from outside sources using various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
  • Scan/upload documents and results into EHR system.
  • Process chart requests from other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and practice regulations.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum High School Diploma or GED. One to two years of medical experience is preferred.
