The ideal candidate will have mid-level law firm experience in labor and employment law on the federal and California state level, with a business-centric approach to cases and expertise in handling disputes involving the FEHA, EEOC, WARN, ADA, and ADEA.

As the chosen Labor and Employment Attorney, you'll enjoy:

• Handling high-quality, high-profile work in employment litigation and traditional labor law matters.
• Advising domestic and international companies on major growth and hiring initiatives, workforce reductions, and WARN Act issues.
• Negotiating complex employment agreements, navigating restrictive covenant issues, and litigating executive disputes.
• Defending clients in a wide variety of industries in wage and hour class and collective actions, as well as single plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters at both the state and federal levels.
• Providing guidance on a variety of legal and human resources issues, investigations, administrative and internal compliance audits, and supervisor and management trainings, as well as helping emerging companies establish their employment infrastructure.
• Addressing matters involving the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).
• Assisting companies facing Department of Labor (DOL) and Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) claims and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employment litigation including W&H class actions
• Traditional labor law, including arbitrations, employment policies, Wage and Employment Acts
• Advising on workforce reductions, WARN Act compliance, and major growth and hiring initiatives
• Discovery and eDiscovery
• Researching and drafting motions and briefs.
• Negotiating complex employment agreements and litigating executive disputes
• Witness and expert witness preparation
• Taking and/or defending depositions
• Analyzing damages

Qualifications and Skills:

• Admitted to the CA Bar
• Superior academic credentials
• Outstanding communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex matters independently
• Mid-level years of top law firm experience in labor and employment law
